Alex Durham / by Stillwater Magazine

Alex Durham is a junior writing major and theatre minor hailing from the farmlands of southern New Jersey. She has been writing nonstop since first grade, when her mother began reading Harry Potter to her before bedtime. Notable influences of hers are the works of Stephen King, John Green, and Kurt Vonnegut. Alex is currently a Writing Center tutor for the IC Writing Department, as well as a founding member of the theatre organization, IC Second Stage. She is incredibly interested in the tie between writing and theatre, especially in the space where writing becomes performative. When she isn't writing or working on a show, Alex can be found enjoying a peanut butter-banana smoothie, listening to The Front Bottoms and Frank Ocean, or thrifting comfy sweaters.
